About Us
East Harbor is a private credit firm that provides secured loans to business owners acquiring trucks, heavy equipment, construction machinery, real estate, yachts, aircraft, and commercial vehicles. We're a collateral-first lender. We care more about the asset backing the loan than the borrower's credit score. Our portfolio includes over 200 active loans across multiple entities, and we're scaling fast.
Small team based in Miami. You'll work on real deals, not case studies.
The Role
You'll work directly alongside senior leadership to keep the business running smoothly. This role sits at the center of our operations, touching everything from financial workflows and vendor coordination to project support and cross-functional communication. If you want to understand how a growing financial firm actually operates day to day, this is the seat.
What You'll Do
- Support accounts payable and receivable workflows, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and vendor coordination
- Maintain and organize corporate documents, financial records, and compliance filings across multiple entities
- Assist with payroll monitoring, onboarding documentation, and office administration
- Prepare materials for internal meetings, investor communications, and leadership reviews
- Research and compile data for operational projects and process improvements
- Help evaluate and implement new tools and workflows to increase team efficiency
- Manage scheduling, supplies, and day-to-day office coordination
What We're Looking For
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any quantitative field
- Strong organizational skills. You can manage multiple priorities without dropping things.
- Clear communicator, written and verbal
- Comfortable in Excel/Google Sheets and document management systems
- Proactive. You see a problem and move toward it, not away from it.
- Curious about how businesses operate at the infrastructure level
- Based in or able to commute to Miami, FL
You Don't Need
- Prior experience in finance or operations. We'll teach you.
- A perfect GPA. We care more about how you think.
- Every qualification above. If you think you'd be a good fit, apply.
What You'll Walk Away With
- Understanding of how a private credit firm operates across finance, compliance, legal, and deal execution
- Experience supporting senior leadership at a firm scaling toward $1B
- Exposure to AI-driven workflow automation and internal tool development
- Mentorship and career development in financial operations
- A real reference and resume experience that goes beyond "assisted with projects"
Challenges You Should Know About
- You'll be supporting operations across six legal entities. Keeping track of which entity, which vendor, and which deadline is part of the job.
- Our team is small. You'll wear multiple hats and switch context frequently.
- Some days are spreadsheets and filing. Some days are coordinating with attorneys and insurance agents. Consistency matters more than excitement.
- The learning curve is steep, but the team is supportive.
