About Us

East Harbor is a private credit firm that makes secured loans against real assets: marine vessels, aircraft, real estate, and commercial vehicles. We're collateral-first. If the asset is strong, we'll fund borrowers that banks won't touch. Our portfolio includes 200+ active loans, a broker network sourcing deals nationwide, and a closing timeline of 2-4 weeks.

We're CECL-compliant and audited, but we operate without the bureaucracy of a bank. Deals move fast here.

The Role

We're hiring an originator to own the deal pipeline. You'll source new lending opportunities, build broker and referral relationships, perform preliminary credit analysis, and present deals to the CEO for approval. This is a revenue-generating seat with a direct line to senior leadership and a clear path to growth as the firm scales.

What You'll Do

• Source new lending opportunities through broker relationships, direct outreach, referral networks, and industry events
• Build and manage relationships with intermediaries, attorneys, financial advisors, and deal brokers across marine, aviation, real estate, and commercial vehicle markets
• Perform preliminary credit analysis on incoming deals: borrower financials, tax returns, collateral valuation, and deal sizing
• Structure deal terms with the CEO: loan amount, rate, LTV, and collateral requirements
• Present deals with a clear investment thesis and risk assessment
• Coordinate due diligence with borrowers, attorneys, title companies, and third-party vendors
• Maintain pipeline reporting and deal flow visibility
• Represent East Harbor at conferences and networking events in our target markets

What We're Looking For

• We prioritize capability over tenure. If you have sharp analytical skills and a strong body of work, we want to hear from you regardless of years of experience.
• Comfortable reading financials, analyzing tax returns, and building basic financial models
• Existing network in marine, real estate, aircraft, or the broker community that serves these asset classes is a strong advantage
• Demonstrated ability to source and close deals. We value results over resumes.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any quantitative field

Preferred

• Direct experience in private credit, specialty lending, or asset-based lending
• Familiarity with UCC filings, title/lien searches, and collateral valuation
• Background in deal origination, business development, or relationship management in lending, private credit, or financial services
• Experience presenting to credit or investment committees
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
